Desert Storm’s new album is pure stoner rock with more colossal riffs in their trademark groove based southern-tinged style. The album was recorded by Jimmy Hetherington (1st album, Undersmile etc) and mastered by the legendary Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Eyehategod, Cathedral, Melvins etc). It also features the brilliant artwork of Chris Hitchman.

Blindsight is proud to be releasing Desert Storm’s 2nd album, “Horizontal Life” on April fools day. Here’s a bit on the band:

Hard & heavy blues rockers Desert Storm bring gigantic riffs, sludge and blues grooves. In 2010 they released their debut album ‘Forked Tongues’ under Buried In Smoke Records.

The five piece operation based in Oxford first formed in 2007, hitting the local rock scene with full force. Now having torn up multiple cities across the UK and festivals such as the mighty Bulldog Bash & DesertFest (Camden); on top of an 8 date UK tour with stoner rock cult legends Karma to Burn and support slots to the likes of Orange Goblin, Taint, Black Spiders, Turbowolf Weedeater, Zoroaster, CKY, Winnebago Deal, Firebird they’re well underway spreading the NOISE.

The album will be released on Digipak CD / Digital Download with the excellent artwork by Chris Hitchman, available from all good records stores and from our website.

Brand new album release out today as a donations-only digital download.

This Latest offering from Umair’s Absence project features 12 tracks of sprawling guitar/synth ambience and drones. Recorded at mostly 4am, it retains that feel throughout. Highlights include the track “Projector” with it’s particularly “Eraserhead-esque” sample of Umair’s noisy radiator from 2005…

Digital downloads – Problem fixed!

We had a problem with the digital download section of our releases, for some reason Paypal was adding 99p of postage to our downloads which of course makes no sense whatsoever.

I fixed the problem so there should be no more “postage fee” added to these releases!
